Privacy

Last updated November 2, 2026

FanVoxx is a place to grade your team after a game. It keeps as little about you as it can: no account is needed to grade, there are no third-party analytics or advertising trackers in the app, and nothing about you is sold.

What we keep

  • An anonymous id. On your first visit we create a random id and store it in a cookie, so your grades stay yours on this device without an account. It isn't linked to your name.
  • The team you pick and your appearance setting (dark or light).
  • Your grades and poll votes, with the game and player they belong to and when you submitted them.
  • Your account, if you create one. Signing in by email stores your email address. Signing in with Google stores your Google account id, and the name and email address Google gives us. Signing in with Apple stores your Apple account id, and the name and email address Apple gives us — if you choose Apple's Hide My Email, that address is one of Apple's forwarding addresses and we never see your real one.
  • Feedback you send us. If you use the feedback form in settings, we keep what you picked, anything you typed, and the email address you gave if you asked for a reply. It goes to us and nobody else, it is never shown to other fans, and the address is used only to answer that message. Ask us to delete it at any time.
  • Merch link taps: which team, which spot in the app, and which game, tied to your id, so we know which links are useful.
  • Which pages get opened, so we can tell what the app is actually used for and what to fix. We store the kind of page (“a player page”), not the web address you came from, and a few product events alongside it: a share card being opened, grades waiting to send while you're offline, a sign-in screen being shown, and how quickly pages load on your phone. These are recorded on our own servers, by us, and are deleted after 90 days.

What we don't collect

No advertising trackers, no third-party analytics, no third-party tracking cookies, no location, no contacts, and no browsing history from other sites. Nothing about how you use the app is sent to another company. When you arrive from somewhere else we keep only the kind of place it was, such as a search engine or a social app. We never keep the address itself, because an address can carry what you searched for. We don't log your IP address with your grades, and we never sell or rent personal information.

Cookies

Four, all for the app to work rather than to track you:

  • fv_uid: your signed, anonymous id. Readable only by the server, and it lasts a year.
  • fv_team: the team you picked, so the app opens on it.
  • fv_theme: dark or light.
  • fv_s: a random id that groups the pages you open in one visit, so we can count visits without counting every reload as a new person. It is readable only by the server, holds nothing about you, and expires 30 minutes after you stop.

Clearing your browser's cookies for this site signs you out and detaches this device from your grades.

How your grades appear

Grades are shown as crowd averages, and a player's grade only appears once enough fans have graded them. Your own grade is shown back to you, and to nobody else. Your name and email are never shown next to a grade, and share cards carry only the crowd number.

Companies that handle data for us

  • Vercel: hosting. Its servers process requests, with standard short-lived server logs.
  • Neon: the database holding grades and accounts.
  • Resend: sends sign-in emails, and so handles your email address.
  • Google: only if you choose Google sign-in.
  • Apple: only if you choose Apple sign-in.
  • CollegeFootballData.com: schedules, rosters, scores and rankings. Nothing about you is sent there.

Email

Email addresses are used for one thing: sending sign-in links, which expire in 20 minutes and can be used once. The link itself is stored only as a hash. We don't send marketing email.

How long we keep it

Grades stay as part of the season's record, and account details stay, until you delete them — which you can do yourself, at any time, in Settings. Expired sign-in links are removed.

Your choices

  • Grade without an account at all, which is the default.
  • Switch teams or change your appearance setting in Settings at any time.
  • Delete your account and your grades yourself, from Settings. It happens immediately, it takes the grades and poll votes with it, and it can't be undone. If you'd rather we did it, write to legal@fanvoxx.com.
  • Clear this site's cookies to detach the device without deleting anything.

Children

The app isn't directed to children under 13, and accounts aren't intended for them. If you believe a child created an account, write to legal@fanvoxx.com and we'll remove it.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date above and say so in the app. See also our terms.
